What do you hope to accomplish this weekend?

Here is one my DH and his dad built with the trees off our land. It sits at the edge of our property. It has a river rock fire place inside with arrowheads we have collected laid in the hearth of fireplace. It is really nice....this is part of the area I mentioned I wanted to fence in this weekend.....The cabin could use some cleaning too...

What a darling little cabin. I LOVE IT!

We've got my DD's birthday party early Sat. and another girl's birthday party later that afternoon.

Then gotta get my Dh ready to fly out Sun. to go pick up our new truck in Montana.

On Sunday I hope to get my hope house/pen started.

Then of course there's laundry, dishes, cooking and all of those lovely things that come with running a household.

Because of my DH's work schedule, our weekends right now are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Today is his Monday.
So, next Tuesday we need to accomplish everything we didn't get done this week due to his DD's unannounced visit:
Change the oil in the vehicles, fix the electric fence around the chicken coop (to keep cows out, not chickens in) and make a trip to Texarkana.
I'll mow the lawn while he's working, so hopefully there will be time for the other things on the to-do list.

I was thinking the same thing - I would be living in it!!!!!!!!!!

For the weekend
Cut the grass, change the oil in Sharon's truck, take the sand out of the brooder boxes in the barn and put in new, pick the garden and asian pear trees, make some asian pear jam, start building a range roost for the Bronze turkeys, process some Muscovy ducks. After that... Food Lion had a sale on country ribs last week so we will be sitting around the grill.

Thanks guys...we like it...and the horse riders that pass through always like to stop and look at it... We actually have another one down in the woods. It is only half finished though and the logs are from Poplar not Pine like this one. I have been on my DH for years to bring the half finished one up here and attatch it to the house.

This one pictured was actually built for my FIL to live in. He and my MIL separated about 6 or 7 yrs. ago and for 2 years he lived in this cabin just like an ol pioneer man. It was so nice to have him here all the time to help me out with the kids but the FIL and MIL reunited and now he lives back with her....So, the cabin has been just sitting there. My DH goes down there and hangs out when he is in trouble

We call it his 'dog house'
