What Do You Pay For Feed?

I was feeding layena and start&grow. The prices were about the same as posted here. Then I went to a local company and the layer is 10.50$ and the scratch is 12.00$. I still have start&grow.

You must have a lot of chickens!!!

one ton is layer that last about 6 weeks
the other is a grower how fast i use that all depends on how many non layers I have (ducks, broilers, chicks, turkeys etc.....)

I pay about $13.00 for a 50# bag of laying pellets

I either feed starter, or layer, and supplement with boss, and I feed corn in the winter.

There are alot of you feeding scratch, I've yet to buy a bag.

I mix my own feed and pay 55 cents a pound.

Also I buy organic starter/grower for my chicks- that is 58-60 cents a pound depending on which feed store I use.

The organic layer pellets I buy for treats USED to be 44 cents a pound I think....haven't bought those in a while.

so for 50# that's $27.50 sorry I was just trying to convert and compare it to what I use. I have to say though that's alot.

I just paid $335 for a ton for layer pellets. That equals out to right at $0.17 per pound/ $8.37 per 50lbs. The last time (2 weeks ago) that I bought it from the coop it cost me $10.50 per 50 lb bag and 3 way scratch cost me $11.50 per 50 lb bag.
