What do you put in your nest boxes?

and now the ceramic egg has dissappeared cant find it anywhere....but they sure didnt like it, the golf balls are still there, they dont bother them! go figure

I have a friend who found a snake in her coop with a golf ball in its gullet!

We use pine shavings but will probably switch to shredded paper when the current bales of shavings are used up, since shreds are free
