I got started on chickens through FFA at my highschool. They were the first animal I raised for fair, and even though I'm planning on raising different animals throughout the years, chickens will be a part of my project every year. So now I have chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Not only does buying your first chickens make you want more, it opens you up to all other kinds of poultry/waterfowl. Thank god I have my mom to be here and not let my chicken math problem get out of hand!

I keep them as pets for the most part. Although I do love the eggs and have a small egg business on the side. But I just enjoy keeping poultry! Just makes life more interesting and adventuresome!
