I agree with Tuffoldhen. My orps have always been good layers as well.

Rareroo my orpingtons are very good layers....Of my 4 ladies in one of my pens I usually get over 20 in 6-7 days.....And they are very fluffy...I'm extremely happy with them.

I'd be glad to sell you some eggs if you need some....

I have to agree with the others who have said there are plenty of good quality orps around with plenty of fluff that it's not necessary to bring in cochins to do that. My orps are good layers too...once they get going. I'll have eggs again in the early spring.
