So I was at TSC today and there were 3 little chicks in a box seperated from the other chicks in the big metal bin. I thought they were dead at first. But then a lady that worked there took one outback. Thats when I asked her if they were still alive. She said yes. I didnt think too much of it. Except the chick never came back out to the bin. I am so mad at myself because now I am thinking they killed it. What do you think? Man, I wish I took the chick!

Our TSC has a hospital bin in the back and they are very careful and compassionate with the chicks. It could be that they have the same there, or it could be that it passed. No one at TSC wants to be a part of chicken euthanasia, trust me.

I know that the chick wasnt dead when they brought it outback. The 3 just werent that lively. I just hate to think they couldve killed it.

Fred's Hens :

I am the only person weary of the TSC rants, bashing, etc? Geeesh.
The title of the thread suggests facts not in evidence.

You are right. I am sorry. I am going to try and change the title.

Really- if it was sick, you would have preferred the chick suffer?

And we don't know what really happened. There is actually an employee at my closest TSC who is or was a 4H poultry project leader, they're not all that "bad."

A lot of the stores have their ICU bins in the back. Just because they didn't bring it back out doesn't mean they killed it. Most of us do everything we can for the little guys & girls. Either that or it was dead and she told you it wasn't to kinda keep the peace, per say. We have customers come in that actually start to cry if there's a chick not doing well. No kidding, I've had it happen. A lot of people can't handle that kind of thing.

I am not trying to say anything bad about TSC by any means. I was just wondering what you guys thought couldve happened to the chicks. And I dont want to see a chick suffer. And who knows? You guys are proble right, the chick was proble put in a chick hospital outback. Thanks for everyones replies. And I am sorry if you took me the wrong way.
