These are a tough call. I agree that the OP is most likely from the UK, and that these are most likely UK Araucana hybrids.

However, the thing that is throwing me is the lack of muff. They should have one, according to the overseas standard.

I would say that these are mixes, and I would guess both pullets.

Wow, I don't really like the looks of the ones we have here, but those I really like! Can we get the purebred tailed Auracanas in the US?

Hi all. Sorry I havn't replied sooner.

Your right. I live in Australia and the lavender Auraucana is up to the standards over here.
I also know that the polish isnt purebred because of the single comb, even though she was sold to me as a polish purebred.
Thankyou all for your help. Im glad they look like pullets at this stage.

I thought I'd give you an update on my two chicks.
The Aracauna is called Alice and I am sure she is a hen.
Here's some pics of her.


And this is the Polish mix who is deffinetly a roo. He's called Dude-friend Jr. after our first polish roo.
