What do you think of him? Buff Silkie Cockerel

his beak looks crooked a tiny bit, or is it just the way his head is facing? He has a COOL comb! and his feet don't look greenish like so many of them do. Nice bird. I hope it's just an optical illusion about his beak.

No, his beak is in no way crooked. Its just the way his head was turned. It was hard to keep him still.

As a buff breeder, I think he has great color. I don't know anything about silkies, but I think he has rich color.

I can't see his tail, but something I have seen in silkies is lots of black in the tail.

WOW! That is great buff coloring indeed!! And the DARK comb to boot. He is impressive.


Please, I'm only curious....I can just see the off coloring in the tail, it does not appear black but much lighter. Was he produced by deluting with a buff that has lavender?? It seems that breeding toward that direction has been showing possitive results and I would like to know if this was the case with him.

You have really worked hard on those buff, and is it ever paying off!!

I LOVE him. I see nothing at all that should cause any significant worry so far. Color is great. I too am working of Buff Silkies and some of mine are way to light. Please post more pictures in about one to two months. It will be great to see him again as he matures. Very Nice, Indeed!
