I have/had two from dipsy with crest - kept one (my slow featherer) Theirs both go forward also. I broke my camera so I will have to wait till my daughter gets home to use hers to take some more recent pictures.

Chillin - did the bird in your pic start out by getting a row of white feathers, then a row of gray, then a row of dark gray?
Like this:

Right now this bird is two shades of gray. I kept him because I want to see how he ends up feathering out.

The white was first and don't quite remember what was next. Maybe I can find out from pics. I feel lucky to have gotton this splash. Your baby looks a lot like mine was when little. Sweethearts too.
