Hardest thing I have ever faced is losing that horse you spent the most time on. In my case to lameness.
I tried three other horse only to realize the first one would have turned out to be the closest to my old horse in the ways that mattered.
If you feel this horse just needs time, don't sell him till the others are ready. He may be the one and just need some more age to prove it.
