You'd be OK in most countries provided:

1. You get a visa.

2. Don't carry satellite and other communications kit in your hand baggage.

There is nothing in the Cuban government that would prevent me from dropping a bomb on... or some of our SEALS blowing up to get this man out.

Including the children, Perhaps?

The law in Cuba is their law. Go there and you have to accept that. This man was aware of the fact.

This is really how you see it? Try reading the news some time.

Yes I do see the news. The reason we are too stuck up is because we have a trade embargo on them when the cold war ended 20 years ago. Lets try to have some actual trade relations with them and get something productive out of them as a country. Then just the fact that we are trading with them we will be promoting democracy into the country.

Oh, ok. Maybe we should start by sending them their illegals back? Oh wait....they refused to take them back! lol We're not the only ones with a problem with Cuba and it has nothing to do with us being 'stuck up'. You're welcome to travel down there and try for yourself though.

There are illegals from Mexico and we still trade with them. I have been on a mission trip to Cuba. The US has the longest lasting trade embargo out of any other country in the world. What is our problem with Cuba besides the fact they are not as wealthy as our other trading partners?

I did not have to read much further that Cuba to see where the issue lies. That country's leadership remains anti-American. Much like other sects in the middle east do, such as the couple almost sentenced to death for hiking on the Iranian border. It took them over two years to be set free. Be glad you live where you do, even if it is heading downhill faster than a snowball in an avalanche.

Technically, Cubans who escape and make it ashore to the US are not illegal. If intercepted at sea, they are sent back. If they make it to land, they are protected as legal residents, and able to become legal citizens. This law applies only to Cubans.
