What do you think of your coop years later?

First coop prefab, I knew nothing 🤣, but I used it for 6 months then sold it for $200, so not to bad, second coop DH built, I made a list of must haves and he made it happen and then some. He even did a few special things that really surprised me. We've made multiple changes, additional PB and roost, mounted the nest boxes, and made a built in brooder. All in all I'm pretty happy with it, just wish it was BIGGER🤣

The door is a weird size anyway. The guy that has leased the Mennonite barn store came and measured it today. Guess I'm getting a new door, lol! I'll post before/after pics.
Wellllll??????? This was March.

Any update thus far? Links to the pics etal?

I’m finding that on the 3rd summer now, I’m so glad we went bigger and I so many tweaks along the way. This allows for the occasional redesign of the run & coop for them to have new “digs” to explore.

This fall I expect to be fabricating a type of screened in factor for the patio.

Getting tired of hosing off the patio’s collection of chickens poo!

Sorry, had to laugh cuz I know your pain. We built a gate but a few chooks still hop to get at the cat food. When I am being smart I leave the scary broom leaning against the railing and that seems to work as they have been dramatically escorted off by it a few times. 😄

No harm or foul TB… I do see the irony in my post as well.
