What do you mean by "gift with purchase"?
More of the story may help since there's a lot of different chicks out there that are that color.
My first thought was extras in a small chick order. If that's the case I would say they're production red males.

I do believe they are male just no idea what kind. I did order a small batch from ideal poultry but they didn’t record what they sent.
