What Do You Think You'd Change?

You are my HERO!! This is one of my very sore subjects. I have an issue with the whole justice system. Has anyone seen the email going around comparing a nursing home to a prison, wow, it is eye opening!

Yeah, he went to prison about 6 months after that.

He was in jail the whole time though. He was arrested the NEXT day.

They have some subsidized programs here, but they are subpar at best. Welfare systems need to be exculpatory about their programs and the entire system needs to push toward education and employment. Which is hard to do when the trained people can't get jobs.

Well, one HUGE hole in the system is that they INCREASE your benefits the less money you make. So, they are encouraging people NOT to work.

That is very true in alot of states. Thankfully, California is moving away from that moronic thought process, and removing benefits the longer a person is one them. Which really doesn't solve the lack of education with these people! No one can support a family, even of two people, making minimum wage at a burger joint.

I am a wee bit pro-education....

RIGHT??? They can draw unemployment in CA, but it is for the servers wage, which is about $4.15 an hour right now. Dock workers here are ALL union so they have no worries.

To become a politican, one must be motivated to help their constituents. Once reaching office, the smell of power overcomes them and then they become crooked.

The same would happen with teachers, farmers, soldiers (many of which are in office now), welfare workers, housewives, etc. Though I agree with your thought process!!!!

How about a professional chef for President? That would be TOOOO funny!

Gordon Ramsey for president?

I will admit, I agree with you somewhat.

If we abolish law X and replace it with law Y, are we really getting anywhere? We're still relying on the government.

Sir, with all due respect, I don't think sudden anarchy is going to help us out.
