On this same line of thinking, it would be a GREAT idea to have people take a basic history and economics test before being permitted to vote. I have actually heard people say this - "I'm not voting for him, he's so creepy!" I kid you not. Economics and policy does not factor into it.

I found my ex's high school transcript when I was moving and going through paperwork. It was not pretty. His IQ was in the 80's. It explained an awful lot. Not that being less intelligent gives anyone an excuse to be abusive and just plain mean. Most everyone can learn right from wrong, and proper from improper behavior.

X 2 and SO true! My son's 2nd grade teacher told me he was one of 3 students in the class who knew who the president and the vice president were at the beginning of the school year, and the only one who knew the name of our state governor and our congressman.

I'd attach the accelerators in semi-trucks to exercise bikes so that the faster you peddle the faster you go. How can anyone work 10 hr days setting on their butts expect to stay healthy?

I agree with Debi about the car starting... And I think that it should be illegal to have anybody but a parent in the car with a driving teen until age 18. Death rates, IMHO, would go way down if teens didn't have friends in the car. 'Course, there are some pretty dang immature 18 year olds out there. But once they're an 'adult', what can ya do?
