What do you use for nesting

I am newer to pigeons, I had some homers and they would pick up sticks I threw in there pen and build a nest. I just got some utility kings, but they don't seem to be building any nests. Oh and I also threw in a bale of straw that doesn't seem to be getting used. So whats the best way to get them nesting?

With helmits, I used old drinking bowls and put dried pine needles in them.

Nest boxes and bowls will help incourage them. Not all birds will go to nesting right away, so give them some time

I use long needled pine straw, but whenever I'm stuck using plain ole straw for bedding, a lot of it will get used in the nests as well. I'd rather use pine needles, but I take what I can get
