What do you use to collect eggs?

Thanks! It also allows me to run a double check... as eaters are placed in pointy side up and hatching eggs, pointy side down & labeled. But yes, no more stacking, or rolling around in the basket or bucket... perfectly safe and holds my pencil too.

That Nest is gorgeous (yes and your granddaughter too) what is it made out of?? Looks like a stone bowl, or an old treestump or.. something??

It's something called a topitary or something like that. My wife, Teresa took a class and made several a few months ago. It's concrete and broken shards of a blue plate or something like that. It weighs a ton but the gals can't tip 'em over. There's two in there but all nineteen of my Gold Comets want to use just this one. I'm planning on adding a nesting box to the side of my coop but now I'm afraid they won't use it. And if I take this away they'll probably get mad at me and quit laying...

<-----pockets lol

I never remember to bring anything out to gather them, unless it is when I am refilling the food, then I use the scoop to carry them in the house.

Plastic coffee can, use em every where. Feed scoop, egg basket, cut em for a temporary waterer. Awesome piece of equipment.
