What do YOU use to collect your eggs?

Oh cool! That sounds like a good deal!
Here is a pic.

I have good intentions baskets that I occasionally remember to take to the coop, but mostly I use my shirt. Sometimes I'll bring them back in the water bucket I toted up there to refresh water.

Then they are transferred to my counter top basket, which varies with the size of the flock. Since my flock is only a dozen laying hens and one rooster nowadays, my basket is pretty small. There the eggs stay until eaten or packaged up for giving away to family and friends. No washing takes place and they never make it to a fridge.

The counter basket...not the collection basket/shirt.

I use my pockets. Pajamas, usually. And then I get distracted and find myself doing some chore while I still have egg-pockets. I can't have them visible or else it's me vs. the Egg Police (one of my hens thinks I'm a burglar)!

Haha! Oh yes! We have a buff orp that is that way (& a new layer at that)...but yells at anyone coming to the coop lol

Oh my gosh.... this is kind of shameful. But every year I buy my family a gift basket for the holidays from wineandcountrygiftbaskets.com ..... I typically choose them based on which basket I want to use the following year to collect the eggs ..... >_>

No shame in that! I think that's a clever idea! ;)
