I've posted a few times regarding a sick chick/chicken, and got few responses. That is actually one of the reasons I joined; there are SO many folks with a wealth of experience, and I think when they see you've got a few replies, they figure...she must have gotten some good answers. However, I posted two in the last few months, and the replies I got were silly/funny - nothing wrong with that at all, but I never DID get a good answer. Is there any way for the Emergencies/Diseases to be somehow monitored more closely by folks with lots of experience? OR - what about breaking that section down a bit; such as, injuries/egg laying issues/predator attacks...? I dunno, just seems like the seriousness of that section does not get the attention it deserves.

In your heading put "HELP EMERGENCY"!!

Yes, that is a good point! Our community is made up of thousands of volunteers and while knowledgeable cannot replace a skilled vet. Of course though, our members should be posting helpful replies in that section and should keep any off topic or silly posts to other sections of the site.

If members see posts like this in the emergencies, diseases, cures section they should report them.

If this has already been mentioned..then just add me as a second.

I would like a space on the thread I'm currently reading, that allows me to jump to a specific page...not just numbers to choose from...
.....1....23 24 25 then a little box where you can type the page number or the post number in to find a specific post.

Hope that made sense.

It is more helpful to put a very short descriptor of the situation

If you put "Hen Broke Leg, is Bleeding" will get people experienced in that regard to answer.

If you put HELP EMERGENCY in the title and it some thing that is not life threatening, then people will stop opening the threads.
Like calling "Wolf"

When a chicken is sick, in the frantic search for help, everyone thinks it is an emergency. So 5 pages of HELP EMERGENCY is not helpful, if you see what I mean.
