How about when you click on a link (URL) that has been posted, another window opens instead of when you click on a link it leaves the BYC. Just a thought!!!

Great suggestion! Here's a quick fix that can help for now while that's added to the list of other ideas submitted by our members.

If you right-click on a link, you should get an option to open the link in a new window. If you're using Firefox (or another browser that supports tabbed browsing) you should also be able to right click and choose an option to open the link in a new tab.

Opening links in new windows has been discussed before and we've chosen not to change the default behavior.

I think you can change your personal browser settings to open links in new windows.

Also, I do something similar to what was mentioned above, but I hold down the CTRL key or SHFT key when clicking and that will usually force the page to open in a new window or tab when clicked.

I can middle-click on a link to open it in a new window with Firefox.

One thing I'm finding as I read posts is that I wish there was a way for me to bookmark posts of interest that I'd like to refer back to. For example, I saw a post with pics about a brooder coop that is not on the coop pages area, now I can't seem to find that post with search engine to go back and review as I plan a small hen brooder coop.

I usually save them to my favorites on my computer. If we bookmarked them here would't that take up our storage space ?
