I'd like the ability to subscribe to a thread and then have an area in my profile to be able to view them. I know you can get e-mail notifications, but having them all gathered together in one place would be ideal, especially when you're working on a project (like building a coop) and you want to check out that thread you had saved about roosts, or nest boxes, etc. Just a thought.....

(oh yea, and about that teeny tiny 'you've posted in this thread' indicator....I know you're ignoring me!

A few things I've thought of:

I'd like to get an email when I get a PM, so I know to jump on BYC in case I haven't had time to do so recently.

It would be nice to be able to send a message to a number of people and have people reply all, or have some sort of group email setting, like a yahoo-group. For projects such as the chick photo database

A forum board on genetics!

And a search function in the forum so we can see if questions have already been answered or if there's an old thread somewhere that we can rejuvenate.

That's what comes to mind at the moment.

I know this might have already been said but if you could send something like voicemail to another person or all the people or just a few, the could send one back i know it sounds silly and hard but it might be fun?

On another forum we use Ventrilo to both voice chat (you need a microphone, about $10) and/or text chat. It's really fun to actually speak to one another!

I haven't read every page so I apologize if this has been brought up.

Can the BST section be optionally filtered by state of the posting member? Many posters forget to add it. I guess I'm asking if it can be automated somehow, so we don't have to go through hundreds of posts to find only those in our state.

Haven't read through all 32 pages, so I apologize if it has already been suggested:

An ability to post "polls" in our messages. This is a popular feature in many of the internet forums that I belong to.

As for something to add...put in an abreviation decipherer. Some of us are confused enough in life to not have to figure out what OEGB and BLRW are. (I have two of one of these and just found out that the other was not an often employed goat baby). A cheat sheet would be great.


Oh and add the non chicken acronyms. Like DH, BF, SSS, BST or what ever else you see. It really would help.
