There is a lot on this thread about chat and you brought up having more than one chat room and people being offended. I was addressing that. I mentioned no names. Don't be so defensive. I stated my opinion, that's all.

Im sorry, I wasnt trying to be defensive, its just sounded to me like you were saying that since I brought it up that I was a culprut or something. And I dont mind to admit it, yes I have broken rules in chat but the innitial ban wasnt for that. Sorry that I sounded a little defensive with that last post, wasnt trying to be at all. Im sorry.

Chat is on the list, but won't be added until:

1) Cindi says to add it
2) It becomes something that is better than what is available at ezboard
3) I find technical ways to build / install / support / host it. (Chat is VERY resource heavy: requires a LOT of server resources).

Okay... a quick teaser: Custom smilies will be the first new feature I deploy, so have all your favorite smilies ready. Note: I don't want to load every smiley under the sun, just the most popular / requested ones.

I think most would agree that the emotes offered at the "old" board are what we are waiting for...​

I have a suggestion:
If I could ask that you refer to a site I am also a member of that has something similar to what I am suggesting, www.fiberglassrv.com, then I hope what I am talking about will make some sense.

On the left hand side of that site there is a permanent column. For BYC I would like to suggest something similar to that site's:

BYC (title)Home (link)
Forums (link)
Store (link -for when this becomes avail)
etc..

Tutorials (or whatever title)(This would be a great place to build a reference library of all the basic information and suggestions that gets repeated over and over again to newbies. I'm sure the more seasoned of you can get tired of seeing the repetitions, but more importantly, it can becove a terrific source of basic information for things such as:
preparing for first flock-hatch-etc
raising baby chicks
introducing chicks/pullets/adult chickens to exsisting flock
what to keep in chicken first aid cabinet,
foods/toxins/and other things to keep out of coop and away from chicks/chickens
Predators (?)
and etc.

Reference Links (titles)medical how-tos (links?) such as:
how to prevent a, b, c
how to treat for x, y, z (i.e.how to splint for splayed legs, when to use vinegar in water, or why use garlic in water, that sort of thing..)
medical terms
and etc ( I notice that there are several knowledgable people that post links in the thread topics that refer to specific treatment/disease/etc issues and this might be a great place to begin a medical reference library for these things.)

I sounds like a lot of the things your mentioning are there. Rob is workind hard to get more info on there and it's already better than it was before (which was pretty darn good).
