What do you wear to your coop at night.

I wonder if your chickens appreciate all the fancy clothes you all wear out to the coop.

The question for me is not so much what I wear at night out to the Hen-house but what I wear to open it up on the weekends......I just hope the neighbors aren't looking.

Funny story...One morning as I was about to get into shower I looked out the window and saw a fox face to face with wife's cat. I hollered at her as to what I saw she got out of bed and I got into shower. Well when I got out of shower she was excitedly telling me about the fox and her cat and that she was jumping up and down trying to scare the fox but yet get her cat to come to her. After I listened to her story I looked at her and asked if that is what she was wearing when she went out. That is when she realized she had nothing on put her panties. She got really embarrased and I got a good laugh.
Did I mention that we live in a subdivision.

No. That's what I wear. But lately I've had to wear big boots because we have 4" of standing water on the trail to the coop.

Dare ya' to tell your wife you just shared THAT story...lol.
I wear my muck boots (DH refers to them as something else I can't say) and whatever I have on at the time, whether it's the days clothes or my robe.

That so sounds like something my wife would do. Very funny.

As for what I wear, I stopped going to my coop half naked because my chickens didn't seem to appreciate it, and I couldn't take the rejection anymore.

Tonight it was long pajama pants, an old T shirt, No socks, my rubber mud buster boots and A big ol. parka with a hood and work gloves in the pockets.

Did not seem to faze the chooks any. They just did their chicken nightly thing and I closed up the barn.

I always keep the hood up in the barn. The Guinea Fowl tend to "get back at me" if you know what i mean.

i wear my old barn coat with pockets usually with nitetime treats, tall insulated mudd boots, and my baseball cap with one of those handy clip-on visor lights. I love those things - they stay on the brim and give lots of light so i don't trip over my own feet. since i have a vision disability - i need the extra lighting and like to keep my hands free. I learned to wear tall boots after i accidentally stepped on one of the barn cats and got a good claw-swat for distrubing her!! . :eek:}

oh, i also wear sweat pants or barn jeans too!! LOL
