We're working on building up our sister site. Hopefully, other BYCers who raise goats will see Farmer Kitty's invitation and join up over there, too. The more members we have there, the more likely it is that there will be lots and lots of folks available to answer questions.

It may be hard for some folks to believe, but BYC wasn't always this big, either.

But we keep getting bigger and better!

Yes, all bucks will get beards. It usually takes 2-3 years for it to come all the way in.

Yeah he does look crossbred to me but the breeder says his parents were pygmy and the white doe was born from a very good breeder and shower, she is 100% pygmy with like perfect markings
but I am not in it for showing they are just my pets

Yes there is nothing wrong w/ cross breeds, they are very pretty goats, and the girl looks pure! Both are really pretty, that boy may give you some nice colors, that's the downside of pure pygmies the colors are so limited.

If they were mine I'd call any kids pygmy mix. Seems so many people consider any small goat a pygmy, I think that is where the confussion comes from as to what a true pygmy looks like!
