What does it mean when a hen's comb is flopped over to one side?

I adopted 6 ex bat hens a few months ago. They all had pale flopped over combs. I was told to expect this due to lack of sunlight and poor diet.

What are you feeding them, are they gettin enough time outside?

My girls are all doing well now and their combs look normal and healthy. I feed them mixed pellets and cook veg for them (collieflour, brockely). In the winter i do them warm porridge aswell (spoilt chickens).

Im not sure if there are any other reasons this could happen, but this was my case.

hope this helps x

It's called Donald Trump Syndrome..I hear there is no cure either. On the bright side, they will gradually accumulate a hoarde of cash and properties.

Some combs flop, some don't.

Often if a hen's comb was not flopped, then did flop, she is under moult or has stopped laying for a bit. It can also flop if they are sick. But a floppy comb alone means nothing.

So you’re all saying Tiramisu here is okay? She just had a comb that flopped over last night. She’s acting the same, running around trying to fly(and failing) and playing with her batch of chickens from this year. I got her as a chick April 20th, and I haven’t noticed anything odd until now. Her only problem is a flobby comb, and I do get soft spots on a few eggs, but I think they are coming from my older gals.
