We raised 12 Rouens from Ideal (Awesome hatchery BTW). My sweet bride and I contemplated how we would be able to "process" them for the table. The kids really struggled with it as well. They are like puppies after a while.

So to set the scene - we processed the ducks on Fathers day. The very next night I decide to grill some duck. Well we sit down, give thanks and begin to eat. Wifey and I are the only ones eating duck. My 7 year old daughter decides she wants to try some, so she does. Moments later, It gets all quiet as little lee lee bites into her perfectly grilled duck. She chews, lifts her head, her countenance changes, she smiles... and starts quacking!

I nearly lost my drink. I could'nt stop laughing. It seemed so abnormal, bizzare and downright wrong... but boy it was funny at the time. Of course not the act of killing and processing, but how she reacted to eating the duck.

So in the end, you can do it.

That is SO something my 4yo daughter would do LOL did Little Lee Lee by chance happen to watch Madeline? That's where my Rosie got it, she has stood on her chair flapping and clucking LOL NOT something we would ordinarily allow at the dinner table, but we excused it becuase she was reinacting her favorite scene from her favorite movie LOL​
