So my babies should be fine? And are you saying my bantam is going to get it then? They aren't housed anywhere near each other my turkeys are out in a pen in the yard and my bantam lives on my back porch. I would hate for her to get it.Fowl pox is highly contagious, but usually not life threatening. Most birds recover from it within about two weeks. It's a virus most commonly spread via mosquitoes. Quarantine doesn't really work well as the bugs that were the source of the infection probably have already bit several other birds already. Since it is viral, antibiotics are of little use. It just needs time to run it's course.
