What does YOUR basic tuna casserole consist of?

I've always use Lay's Original Potato Chips on top. Ex-husband decided to make it once, but didn't have chips. So he used Cheese Nips. Quite possibly the worst thing I have ever tried to eat.

I haven't tried capers, but I will! I LOVE them.

My tuna casseroles are never the same. Sometimes the carb is rice, sometimes it is noodles. But TWO ingredients are always the same: Tuna (dur) and OLD BAY!

I love the spice mixture Old Bay. And I don't just use it on seafoody stuff!

You forgot the cheese!

I ended up using two cans of cream of celery and one can of cream of chicken, five cans of tuna, a block of pepperjack cheese, and a bag of egg noodles. No topping. This made two casserole dishes of tuna casserole. I think I'm set, lol

I think you'll be needing help eating all of that! (hint, hint)

Yeah my boyfriend saw how much I made and laughed at me. We have two roomates though and that's a lot of hungry adults! Plus I always like to make extra so everyone has leftovers for lunches at work

Me basic one is pretty much the same as all of these. I add lots of cheese and I either crush chips or use well seasoned bred crumbs. I can't eat canned peas unless I make creamed peas. I use frozen peas and carrots instead. And I add 1 teaspoon or about of whestecher (lol Nothing looked right) to it.

I make my own pasta, buy hand crank machines for almost nothing from thrift stores and get together with friends to teach and blast out a bunch, but for tuna casserole, noodles made with dill, cooked/drained, butter, more dill, drained tuna, little milk, capers, roasted pine nuts, fresh squeezed lemon juice, white pepper and topped with browned onions. Easy, super cheap when you make your own pasta. Serve it with wild greens from the yard, mixed colored tomatos with basil and Rosemary, (all free from the yard).

My tuna casserole starts with tuna and noodles...and then I add whatever frozen veggies I have. Lima beans are yummolicious in it, but my DH is not a lima bean fan, so I use 1/2 limas, 1/2 peas or beans...and pretty much whatever else is about to go over the hill in the fridge! I once made a tuna and hot dog casserole. I thought it was pretty tastey...DH thought

That's the only way I can eat box mac and cheese.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy but I like it
