What does your dog dislike/hate?

I would be careful about raw diets and letting her dig up gross stuff. Especially if you have/people in the house have a weakened immune system or there are small children/babies around that honey might lick. They can get very sick.

Oh ok. I guess maybe I shouldn’t have said anything without a back strory. I had read somewhere about how lots of people do raw meat diets and some people got sick and some died but I guess the situation is different for everyone.

I think a lot of it is probably where you are sourcing your raw food as well. We have a company here in NZ set up specifically to provide raw food for pets (and they have an awesome range). They are very careful about where their food comes from (they aim to be as sustainable as possible and animal welfare is important to them) and all their food is frozen for 10 days prior to sale to reduce the likelihood of salmonella being present.

We have figured out what our dog likes now and don't give her anything with the dreaded gooey bits. Thankfully they have minces that contain organs so we can give her a balanced diet.

If we buy like chicken from the store get 20% alcohol to wash it please kills the salmonella they cannot handle , decide to go raw be careful make sure diet is balanced @Abriana barf is a raw diet biologically appropriate raw food BARF

Dani dislikes thunder and fire works. She has a 'thunder jacket' that really helps. She absolutely freaks if the smoke detector beeps. She is our third golden retriever, and all three have become reactive to sounds as they have aged.

Often you will find their hearing changes a bit more sensitive.. I had Belgian Tervuren for 26 years my old Momma dog Chase became more touchy of sounds at 12 or 13
seemed commoner in the old ones

 

[Crazy for Chickens!]

We have two large dogs. One is a Rottweiler/Boxer, and one is a Maremma/Great Pyranees. they aren't really scared of much, but they HATE Buzzards! If they had a choice, the things wouldn't even fly over the property! They also chase hawks, and anything else large. It's nice, because it protects the chickens from them.

He has to share me and the sofa with Millicent, the Basset. He really hates that. It's not that he dislikes Millicent so much as that he wants to be an only dog.

Mine is terrified of thunder too. I think all dogs might be afraid of any loud noises? Sounds like lots of jealousy going on there!

Sour, how well do those Thunder Shirts work? I am considering getting one for my boy, I have been using Rescue Remedies and Brewers yeast, almost knocks him right out! LOL But I would rather not use those if the "shirt" works well enough?
