We have a multi level home, I love seeing pics of some of these *real* two stories, lol!

Our house from back by my chicken coops-you can kind of see where they dug for our 20x24 addition for our youngest son.

Heres what I got...

we went to look at land and planned to build a NEW house, pulled into where the lot was and DW had to look at the house that the most of the land belonged to. Now I live in a 18?? farmhouse. Solid timbers for some walls, axe cut rafters held together with wooden pins. I have a lift up door(doenst lift up now) in my halway for the coalshoot to the basement. Didnt originally have elect. or plumbing, has no back porch, that was converted to be bathroom, and addition was added to have running water in a kitchen. Has a walkin Fireplace that I would love to restore, but needs lots of time and $$$ maybe when I hit the lottery... My chicken coop is NEW though.

All of you have the best!!!! Homes which are warm loving places which have both humans and animals who are loved and cherished. What can be better than that?

Great houses..... yeah DacJohn even yours

We're getting work done on ours right now, so I'm waiting to take the "AFTER" pics.....

Here's a picture of our house. My husbands parents built it in 1947 after they tore down the original house

. I like my house, but I wish the original house was still here. We've
never been able to find a photo of the old house, but we do have a painting that a cousin did in the 30's of it. The second picture is a picture of the painting. Our kids were the 5th generation to grow up on our farm. The barns in the painting are still here and in use.

What a cool painting, Katy! The house reminds me alot of my in laws old farmhouse. My DH was the 3rd generation that grew up there, and for the few years we lived on the property, our boys were 4th generation. We looked into moving and restoring the old house, but it was just going to cost so much more then actually building

They have such character...the woodwork, floor plans, etc.
