I'm a hobby genealogist. There's a pretty good family match in Pope County. If I'm guessing the right family, I think I can date your photo within a couple of years.

This message thread should be banned. Simply because its making me SOOOO jealous! I want to move back to the country so bad, but we are stuck in the city limits at least for a few more months.

I've got to say though, everyone has such nice homes. I really liked the log cabin one on the 2nd or 3rd page.

Haha, don't worry for like 10 years I've driven through the country to go riding, and been so so so jealous of all the old century homes on the farms, and only NOW are we finally getting our own.

we're not even done with the house and i'm thinking in 15 years when DH retires i want to move and have more land , maybe maine or North caralina I don't know but 9/10ths of an acre is not enough.
My cousin/next door neighbor just got a calf and now i want one!

I've been waiting for the right time (weeds pulled, grass mowed, right light, trees pruned, flower bed border fixed, etc.) but the right time hasn't come.

I was looking through some older photos and found this one that I took this last winter right after an ice storm. My pole barn house is supposed to be temporary but we've been in it since 1999. I would still like to fix the old brick house from earlier in this thread.
