I hatched 4 ducklings and 2 chicks at the same time - I scheduled them for the same day on purpose. They have been happy, it's been 3 weeks and no deaths - but I put the ducklings in a tub of water and the white chick tried to swim with them and got soaked, be he recovered. If I seperate the chicks, the ducklings peep, and if I seperate the ducklings, the chuicks peep like mad. I also have some 1.5 week olds with them who are getting along well. But will living with ducklings make these chicks unique, or weird, or special? Iam not worried just genuinely curious. Andwill the ducklings get weird from living with chicks?

It will not make them unique/weird/special, but it may very well make them wet and dirty. One drawback of raising them together is that drakes sometimes imprint on the chickens, and drakes breeding chicken hens can prolapse/kill them.

I;m not planning on keeping them together when they mature. I just saw that chick trying to swim and I thought it was weird - that chick is a bit weird I think it may have a tiny bit of wry neck
