Only dogs I generally don't like are golden retrievers, labs, german shepherds, huskies, etc... I find them all very boring, the first two always come off as quite dumb to me, GS's and huskies I just find ugly, while I believe huskies can at times go downright insane later in life.

I love chihuahuas and terriers, especially schnauzers... Who do technically qualify as Working group by AKC, but minis are terriers? Not sure what to deem them. People say chihuahuas are mean little things but I feel they more just have spicy, complex personalities, which I love!
As per earlier conversation here... I'm quite indifferent to pit bulls... nothing against them, nothing for them.
Also like poodles and some spaniels. :)

I want to know where all the good Great Danes have gone? It seems that the only breeding goal for their 'breed standard' is color. And now, we have merle, mantle, fawnequin, and harlequin fearful, aggressive large dogs. Where did the gentle giants of yesteryear go?
My sister has a great dane puppy. From a big time breeder who breeds to standard but does get the cool colors too. He is a merle and is everything a gentle giant should be. And correct, my sister did not get his ears cropped, that is abuse

My first job was at a dog kennel and an Airedale Terrier was the craziest dog there. Insanely high energy level. Apparently his owners had dropped him off for boarding and never came back to get him. Kinda sad

The trick with a bulldog is to cross it with a similarly built breed. You can usually solve a lot of genetic health problems and sometimes temperament problems that way. This one is a year old bandog that is my daughter’s guardian. His mother was an Old English bulldog and his father was a French mastiff. The Old English side had both Staffordshire and Neopolitan in the background. The French mastiff side tempered the catch drive and made him a safe family companion.

I dislike poodles greatly and mildly dislike golden retrievers simply because they’re such generic dogs.

Aside from the ones that my grandmother and her brother own, I hate all small breed dogs. Terrible and should have never existed at all. Wish they would all disappear.
I feel the same way about my brother-in-law. However I have two small dogs and they are everything you could ever want in a dog. They are not nervous, timid, or yappy and are very well behaved. They are great companions. Sammy, the chihuahua terrier cross is so devoted to me it is embarrassing. No, he is not insecure. He just wants to be near me.
