Well, you won't believe this...or actually, you probably will!! I get a message from the seller telling me that a local lady offered her $250 so she feels really, really, bad and hopes I understand that she's selling it to the local lady instead. BUT she'll call me to let me know if the lady doesn't take it so I can come get it. Well, I hope the deal falls through cause they need it out of there and I was ready to pick it up yesterday. I just let her know that her integrity obviously had a price tag on it and not to bother calling me about it.

I understand being upset, and I would be, too. However, in the world of CL, people can be flakes and even worse. I don't consider something sold or bought until the deal is done, as I have had people stand me up. And while I personally would not do that to someone, she may have been burned before, and was just trying to protect her interests. At least she let you know.

That's a shame, I was really hoping to see what you were going to do with it. Did you check out playhouse with swing sets attached on CL, (i never saw the play house pic) I saw someone on here do that and it looked awesome.

Awww... that stinks. A person's "word" hardly seems to mean anything these days to so many.

I've had people say "I want it!" to something I was selling on Craigslist. So being the nice guy I am... I would hold it for them.
Then they come and decide... "no thanks."... they just wanted first shot at "seeing" it... ggggrrrrr

The deal is never done for me until I'm driving away (or they're driving away) with the item.

I think the folks around here already know to look for old play houses, dog houses, etc... things that will make a usable coop. There are a bunch of "wanted" ads for those type of things.

Someone off CL did the same thing to me last week. She sold it to someone else WHILE I WAS ON MY WAY TO MEET HER!

I had no idea it was a race!

This is on our local CL...sells brand new for $300 at Costco, thought I'd offer this guy much less than what he's asking. Didn't get great reviews from Costco customers, but I figured it was some nice bones to start with. I want to put up a little bantam or grow out coop. What's the most you'd offer for this?
