What fecal float solution is best?

What do you use
Epsom salts
Sugar (should I get embalming fluid to make Sheather's solution)
Zinc sulfate
buy premixed

I mixed some Epsom salts until it wouldn't dissolve any more
But wondering what works best
Didn't see anything about an expiration date but a gallon of premixed is $26
Just doing them at home a gallon should last a lifetime

I buy the premixed from my vet, I go through a couple of gallons a year doing fecals at home. I am not going to skew my results to save a couple of dollars when it could cost me expensive birds.

Was originally thinking about going that way
But then started reading about which solution worked best for witch species of worm
I little knowledge can be a confusing thing
I am reading about when you started but have been going to the links
so is taking a while to get through it all
I cant find by immersion oil assuming I should order some more while I'm at it
what magnification do you normally use?
