what feed do i buy for peachicks

as u no ive got 9 day old peachicks and im going to the petshop today and can u tell me wat food to buy! recently they have been eating there mums food but now i want to buy the best food for them.. any idias please!

Mine get a mix of chicken starter and game bird starter. Others just use game bird starter...........I think you need to go to a feed store for their food as a petshop only carries parrot etc. feed.

Would they do well just on chick starter or is there something extra in game bird starter that they need? Our feed store only sells game bird starter in 50 lb bags. It would probably go bad well before we would go through a bag. Can something be added to chick starter to make it equivalent to game bird starter?

I have mine on just Purina flockraiser, which I hope is okay. My turkeys did well on it.

I guess the question should be do they need medicated feed or not? I have been feeding gamebird feed which is not medicated. Is this right or do they need medicated?

Yes a medicated 24% to 28% starter for at least 12 weeks.

TSC sells it in 25lb ,just make sure that its medicated.

Turkey or gamebird starter either will work.

that's what we use is a medicated 28% game bird starter from Southern States.
