What geese should I get?

I have been wanting geese for a while and now I can finally get some. I am wanting to get a trio. Which geese are the most predator proof, friendly, and are like watch dogs.

We have four geese that we purchased at our local agway 3 years ago. Two are African Greys and two are Saddlebacks. The Africans are definitely the more aggressive and more like watchdogs. The saddlebacks are beautiful though with their blue eyes. They are calmer and friendlier. Hope that helps!

African geese sound like they would fit the bill. You mentioned Chinese- these are very small and will be nervous in comparison to the Africans. Go with Africans- they are huge! Most predators won't even bother trying- they'll be too scared to get near them!

What hatchery do you think is the best?

Metzer hatchery is great, they have tons of breeds and allow you to get them sexed.
