If I base it off of my own two EE, I would say somewhere around 17 and 20 weeks, maybe less.

Ok, do you know when the EE's normally start to lay?

Normally, it takes about 7 months, but some EE can take up to a year. It really depends on the bird.

Your bird looks to be about 10 to 12 weeks old. It is a pullet. My Easter Eggers were laying by 22 weeks old. I think 11ChickenGirl11 is confusing pure Ameraucana laying age with Easter Egger laying age. Easter Eggers are much better producers.

You're welcome. That slow rate of development and poor laying rate are the reasons that hatcheries created the Easter Eggers.

Thank you very much for the complimemt. We're still trying to get close to her. Ever since we brought her home she's been hiding under an old car we have here. She's getting braver though. Today's the first day she's actually come out from under the car while I'm still nearby. I would like to get some closer pics to post but it may take me a while to gain her trust. She looks very hawk like in the face.
