I got fertile easter egger eggs few weeks ago, there 9 weeks old now and I think there’s a lot of roosters there, what do you think? , the woman that sold me the eggs told me I could maybe get few mixed chicks also because I came at a time where she hadn’t separated the breeds so some of them can be Icelandic hen mix and leghorn mix, so I know some might not be pure easter eggers
also one is sick and I think he’s a rooster so I not sure if I should try save him or put him down, he can’t stand up, he’s on the first picture

Such beautiful babies congrats! Sorry for number one.

For me it's harder to see at this age, and most who sex chicks on byc usually want clear side views and clear saddle photos as well as those front pics, to tell you better just yo let you know ;)

Would it be possible to get side profile tail pics of all of them save 5 and 6?

From what I can see, 1, 4, 12 and 13 are looking like boys... but mixed breeds are definitely less predictable than purebred.

From what I can see 5, 6, 7 and 8 look like pullets.

I absolutely love 11. However, not very sure on gender, particularly without side profile.

Again, these are guesses.

Yeah, 1 does look under the weather. Does he sit/stand like that a lot (i.e. unsteady/splayed)? :hmm
I would look up Marek's disease in chickens.

For what it's worth, this is a bit early for saddle feather examination in most cases. Easter eggers are mixes, there's no such thing as a pure easter egger. That's why we get colored eggs. Also, depends on what mixes you've got as to comb and wattle development. I had an ee boy that was still a pullet until "she" crowed.

Here’s pictures of 7,5 and 8. I’m going to try take pics of the others to

Thanks, I know about that it no such think as a pure easter egger, this is just what the breeder told me that they couldn’t be few mixed eggs there if leghorn and Icelandic hens to because she had separate the breeds yet, I didn’t care and bought the eggs anyway ❤️

I think most people haven’t responded due to the number of photos in one pic...it’s great organization on your part but easier for others to respond to probably a few at a time. :D

I’m not an expert, but at 9 weeks, I think those that have shown comb/wattle development at a faster rate than others are the ones to watch. It’s a little early for gender specific feathering. :hmm

And sorry about #1.. :hugs

I too would think your male who can't stand may have Marek's disease. If so all of yours have been exposed to it. Nonetheless I would quarantine him for 2 reasons, one to give him time to recover from??? whatever maybe some injury, and second to see if he indeed does have Mareks - unless you want to take to vet to find out for sure.
