Another question please, i'm comparing these pictures to my bo's @ 7 weeks and the pullet that rodriguez posted.....does anyone think these (guys) look a little fuzzy-headed to be 6 weeks old?

eta: i'm wondering if i need to check my dates?

The pullet I posted, looks to be about 8-12 weeks old. I was just trying to show you the difference.

Different breeds and strains mature at different rates. You may get the same breed from two different hatcheries and wind up with birds that mature much faster and some that mature much slower...it's just genetics.

Here's Rusty, about 5.5 weeks old, sold as a pullet but I don't think so.

Roos... but looks like it's covered. Large combs and waddles for that age.

I agree-all roos I can tel when my BO's are 5-6 weeks old and go from there. Havent' been wrong yet-can't say that about other breeds though :-(
