Was it a cockerel? I had an Astralorp that got a large comb and wattle early that made me nervous, but it is a hen Wish the pic showed the tail feathers better.

Yes he turned out to be a cockerel in the end. We found a nice home for him luckily. Here’s an updated pic (thanks to those who predicted right)
