Here is a shot from today. We named "her" WillowIt would be preferable to get a second picture of the chick so that we can see the eyeliner a little better. That being said, I would say with 90% confidence that this little one is a girl based on the very distinct and contrasted 'V' she has. I hope she is a girl, I love Welsummers--my best layer is my Wellie. They are taking a break over the winter but last year she was the first to start up, the last to stop laying in the fall and laid an XL terra cotta egg 5-6 times a week:![]()
