What gender is this dark brahma?

Got this cute dark brahma from my neighbor, don't know if it's a cockerel or a pullet. Thanks!

It's not a dark Brahma. I think it is a light Brahma with some extra patches of black. Or maybe a light Brahma crossed with a dark Brahma.

Age is important here. If it is under 12 weeks of age I would guess it is a cockerel because of the comb development and color.

it looks female to me just because of the size of the bird but that is a pretty red comb lol

It's definitely a cockerel and appears to be a poor-quality light rather than dark. Age-wise it's about 10-12 weeks.
Also note emerging saddle pointed feathers. It indicates sex with 100% certainty.
