I figured she was a hen too, real poofy like...
I'm going cockeral too. My hens don't get wattles that red until just before they start to lay. Plus the head feathers appear that they might be starting to split at the top and do the balding look that it does just before the spikey feathers start to come in.
All my males and females have the same rounded heads until they hit about 10 weeks old.
Her/his disposition is pullet-like. But I will post pictures at 10-11 weeks. She/he stands out from the flock and is probably the only one the kids would figure on going "missing".
