hopefully these pictures are good enough

This is Butters the silkie 8 months old purebred from show quality but I just cant tell the gender seems to have a very red comb I am not sure if silkies get red combs? Thank you
@LadiesAndJane Thanks for the mention! If it is 8 months old it should be laying or breeding with your hens. Also, it should be crowing if it is a roo. I have silkies that are red combs but I don't claim mine as show quality.

This is a tricky one! (white one) Look at that fluff, gorgeous bird. 🥰While the comb is a bit big for a pullet, could be a POL pullet.
I would expect more secondary male characteristics at this point if it was male.
I guess you will know one way or another soon!
Calling in @LynnaePB, @PioneerChicks @ForTheLoveOfSilkies, @ChloeSilkie08 😊

Edited to correct "big for a cockerel" meant to say "big for a pullet".

I agree with this. :)

I'm definitely leaning towards pullet.....looks pretty feminine other than the comb (some silkie girls just have big combs).

I've heard a few breeders mention silver gene whites often having a bit of red to the combs in males at least. I've got a couple silver gene white girls and a boy and all of them have combs that are a little red. I'm not sure if that could be a reason your girl has the redder comb maybe? 🤔

Beautiful bird! :love

My silver based white girl has a more pinkish comb, too! 😊

Thank you very much! I was really hoping my only white one was a girl!

Thanks for the tag @LadiesAndJane , I'm a bit late to the party haha.
Looks for sure a pullet to me!
I have 2 red comb girls I do not use for breeding as to not pass on to offspring.
