Thanks again, all of you. Interesting point, Popsicle! You know, I hadn't even thought about that! I'll have to check with my friend and see if any of the other chicks are showing peacombs and/or beards/muffs. I know at least a couple of the other chicks had very definite greenish legs, but I think I recall all having what so far looked to be single combs, and I don't think any bearding (at least not yet). And I know she collected eggs from several different mamas for each hatch. Huh. The whole genetics area is fascinating to me!
