spurs don't start growing till almost a year old and start small and get bigger with age. Roosters and hens can get spurs, all chickens have spur bumps on their legs

Both of my roosters actually started growing spurs at about 6 months of age. They grow very slow though. My rooster who will be 2 years old next month is just now starting to get the pointed ends of his spurs, but they are the full length. My other rooster is 13 months and his spurs are about an inch long, with rounded ends.

well sorry there guys, i never post pics! Alpha was one of them and now they are quite big! about 6 to 7 months old! i shall get some pictures and post theem

they are growing waaaaay to fast!
