What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Usually Captain Morgan is crowing and I wake up. This morning I knew I had a chick hatched and I wanted to move momma and baby to a safe spot before the hens got up. I actually got the roo out of bed this morning with a "GET UP! " He didn't think it was that funny.

Both my husband and I are fairly early risers but more often than not our daughter beats up to it.

Our neighbors have a roo and so we're used to the crowing sound in the morning, sleeping through it. The first day we had our rooster, our daughter came running in at 6:30 am shouting "Mama! Papa! Our rooster is crowing and waking us up!"
