What goals do y'all have for your future?

My niece plans to go to A&M for DVM. She can't wait! I wish I had been that focused when I was thirteen!

Well, I just got a promotion and a raise. I’ll be in charge of advertising for our stores. So that’s one goal met!

Next, I want to sell my house, buy about 10 to 15 acres and build a farmhouse with a wrap-around porch. I want a bigger coop, more chickens, a few cows and ducks. I want a big vegetable garden and awesome flower beds. I want to stop obsessing on trivial things that don’t matter and I want to ENJOY my life.

well, my goals just six years ago was to buy lots of land and do what I love most, riding and showing horses. Of course I always intended on going to college to do....something to suppliment that dream........but then I took my sister's kids and was forced to change my goals........for now.

Now I just want to raise my neices and nephew to be smart, respectful and successful adults (not at all like their mother or father!!!

I want to finish school, I've started four times, but having the children has caused financial troubles for me and I haven't been able to go steady.
I want to marry my b/f
I want at least one child of my own with him

If this were a perfect world I'd reach all those achievable goals and still have my big, successful, beautiful horse farm too!!! Still going to try my hardest to achieve that before my time on earth is through!

Bless you for taking on such a task! There are not many people in this world that would or could do what you are doing. I know you probably won't, but please don't ever, even in a moment of frustration, say anything to them about your dreams having to be put on hold. Continue to love them and raise them up to be good responsible people like you! You wiil be greatly rewarded later on, I promise!

Thank you! When my oldest niece asks me why I don't have a job, I just tell her that God has special plans for you special children and right now there is no more important job I could have than to take care of you and your sister and brother!

Sorry for getting off topic here, just want to share a sweet story.
About the oldest child, she's going to be 7 on the 21st
She tells me all the time that she's glad they live with me now. And the other day after a convo we had about the responsible way to be a successful adult (you know, get good grades, attend a good college to get a good job, find a good man, THEN have children) I served hamburgers and chips for lunch. I went to my computer to see what ya'll were up to on BYC and she came to me and said she had saved her last chip for me. At first I brushed her off saying thanks but I didn't want it. She then says, "but it's a very special one I saved just for you!" I then looked at her with the intention of saying no again, but the chip was in the shape of a perfect heart! I couldn't say a thing! She brought tears to my eyes, she said I love you as I took the chip from her and hugged her and told her I loved her too! She's the sweetest!!!
