What got in my yard?

Could be an eagle but even they dont eat the head. owls are the only bird of prey that does
 
No eagles here.
Have seen the occasional hawk and we have owls hanging around in the yard at night at times.

Chickens and ducks have been cooped up the last 2 days. I'm sure they'll enjoy some freedom tomorrow.
Do birds of prey remember where they found an easy meal?
